Violet M. Good

Violet M. Good, 92, of Sioux City, Iowa, formerly of Allen, Nebraska died on Sunday, June 17, 2007 at Casa De Paz Nursing Home in Sioux City, Iowa. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at the Allen United Methodist Church, in Allen, Nebraska, Pastor Sara Simmons will be officiating. The visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with the family present from 5:00 until 7:00 at the Bressler ~ Munderloh Funeral Home in Wakefield. Violet was born on January 14, 1915 in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of John and Margaret (Wicks) Bader. After graduating from East High School in Sioux City, she met and married Robert “Bus” Good Jr. on June 22, 1934 in Sioux City, Iowa. The couple made their home in Allen, where she raised her two sons. Bus and Violet enjoyed dancing, traveling and playing cards. She particularly enjoyed the times they spent camping. Bus died on April 17, 1977. She then moved to Sioux City, where she lived closer to her two sisters. She was a member of the Allen United Methodist Church, the Eastern Star, and the Cheerio and Bid & Buy card clubs. Violet is survived by her two sons and their wives: Robert and Ruth Good of Torrance, California and Larry and Sue Good of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, two granddaughters and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Evelyn Rachel “Babe” Trongaard of Plattesville, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister Deoris Luther and a brother John “Jack” Bader.
