Glenn L. Morgan, 89 of Fountain, Colorado dien on June 30, 2007 at a hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 6, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Emerson, Pastor Gretchen Ritola will be officiating. Burial with military rites will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery of Emerson, Nebraska. Glenn L. Morgan was born on July 7, 1917. On December 17, 1942 he entered active duty with the US Army at Camp Howze. He proudly served his country during World War II as a supervisor with three infantry rifleman squads with the 333rd Infantry Regiment 84th Division Company F. As a platoon Technical Sergeant he had many varied duties. While serving in Germany on the Siegfried Line, Glenn was taken prisoner on December 3, 1944 and was later released with help from Allied Forces on April 22, 1945. During his years as a prisoner he was placed in Stalags XIB and IIIB. He separated from the Army on October 31, 1945 at Camp Beale, California. Glenn’s awards include Good Conduct Medal and POW Medal as well as others. He passed away on June 30, 2007 at a hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is survived by his loving wife, Mae E. Morgan; his daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Gil Pharris and Lynn and Richard Pearson; three grandsons; three great grandchildren; two sisters; three nieces; and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one older sister, three brothers-in-law and countless friends.
