Fritz F. Venner

Click here to view video tribute.   Fritz F. Venner, 83, of Bancroft, Nebraska died on Thursday, September 27, 2007 at the Pender Care Centre in Pender, Nebraska. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 1, at 10:30 a.m. a the Bancroft Presbyterian Church in Bancroft. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Munderloh Funeral Home in Bancroft. Interment will be in the Bancroft City Cemetery. Fritz was born on September 15, 1924 in Bancroft, NE, the son of Adolph and Martha (Hammer) Venner. He graduated from Bancroft High School in 1942. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the South Pacific. After his return from military service he married Irene Sorensen in South Sioux City, Ne. He also began working for Holmquist Grain and Lumber. He worked there until his retirement in 1990. Fritz resided at the Pender Care Centre for the last two years. Fritz is survived by his wife, Irene, children: John Venner and his wife Jackie of Bancroft, Ne; Susan Beckman and her husband Jeff of Fremont, Ne; and Jean Beumler and her husband Steve of Omaha, Ne, and seven grandchildren. Fritz was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Hans, Ernie, and Walter, a sister Bernice and one granddaughter.
