Click here to view video tribute.   Myron “Mike” Tullberg, 76, of Wayne, Nebraska died on Thursday, November 22, 2007 at Providence Medical Center in Wayne, Nebraska. Funeral services for Mike will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. at Salem Lutheran Church in Wakefield; Pastor Jerome Cloninger will be officiating. The visitation will be held on Monday from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Bressler – Munderloh Funeral Home in Wakefield. There will be a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. on Monday evening at the funeral home. Military funeral rites by Wakefield American Legion Post #81, Anton Bokemper. Myron “Mike” Delbert Tullberg was born on August 6, 1931 in Wakefield, the son of Axel and Sigrid (Moline) Tullberg. He grew up on a farm near Wakefield. Mike was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church in Wakefield. He attended Lincoln School District #87 and graduated from Wakefield High School in 1948. He entered the Army in 1952 and remained in the Army Reserves until 1961. He married Gwendonna Murfin on December 26, 1951. They were married for 30 years. The couple began farming near Martinsburg and later moved to Wakefield, where he farmed and worked at the Milton G. Waldbaum Company until 1982. Myron moved to Norfolk before settling in Lyons, Nebraska. He was an active member of the Bethany Lutheran church. He worked at Logan Valley Manor for many years, and then at the Lyons-Decatur Northeast School until his retirement in 2005. He moved back to Wakefield and lived at the Wakefield Health Care Center and later moved to Premier Estates in Wayne. He enjoyed farming, gardening and most of all, spending time with his family. Mike is survived by his five children: Linda and husband Monty Granfield of Randolph, NE; Diane and husband Mike Row of Bruning, NE; Dennis and wife Melia Tullberg of Wayne, NE; Connie and husband David Herbster of Sabetha, KS; and Gary and wife Michelle Tullberg of Lenox, IA; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a sister Delores Lehman of Wakefield, brother Paul Tullberg of Schuyler and sister-in-law Mila Tullberg of Elk Point, SD. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Donald and an infant brother Weldon, and one granddaughter Brenna Herbster.
