Todd Andrew Martin, 53, of Emerson, NE went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, June 29, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Emerson; Father Gerald Leise will be officiating. The visitation with the family present will be on Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the church, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Emerson, NE. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home of Emerson is in charge of the services. Todd was born on November 30, 1961, in Wakefield, Nebraska, the son of Jack and Marcy Martin. He grew up in Emerson and graduated from Emerson – Hubbard High School in 1980. Following graduation he farmed near Emerson. On August 26, 1995, he was united in marriage to Susan Warren at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The couple made their home near Emerson. To this union two children were born Jenny and Jake. He was a hardworking independent farmer. Todd enjoyed bowling, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family. He was always thinking of others and was very generous, never expecting anything in return. He is survived by his wife Susan and their two children Jenny and Jake Martin of Emerson, NE, his father Jack Martin, brother Kevin (Moe) Martin all of Emerson, NE sisters Michele (David) McDevitt of Sioux City, IA and Julie (Terry) Albrecht of Thurston, NE, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Todd was preceded in death by his mother Marcy, three siblings Patrick, Pamela and Kerry and a nephew Aaron Albrecht.
