Emma Peters

Emma Peters, 80, of Omaha, Nebraska passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at a hospital in Omaha. Funeral services will be Monday, September 28, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Emerson; with Pastor Gretchen Ritola officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2015 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Emerson, with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Emerson. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh - Smith Funeral Home in Emerson. Emma was born May 4, 1935 in Winnebago, NE to Frank and Ida (Case) Rager. She married Ervin Peters on September 23, 1961 in Omaha, NE. The couple had four children. Emma worked at Immanuel Hospital for 32 years in the dietary department. Emma loved cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers and spending time by the Missouri River watching the eagles. Most of all, Emma loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Ervin Peters of Omaha, NE; sons, Kevin Mudd of Omaha, NE, Scott (Chris) Peters of Omaha, NE, Kelly (Beth) Peters of Omaha, NE; daughters, Tammy Clayton (Mike Lee) of St. Charles, MN; sisters, Betty Richards of Bancroft, NE, Mary (Bill) Magnuson of Bancroft, NE, Janet Lutjen of Bancroft, NE; brothers, Tom (Janet) Rager of Wausa, WI; sisters-in-law, Judy Rager of Jackson, NE, JoAnn Rager of Emerson, NE; grandchildren, Kyle, Ashlie, Jordan, Nicole, Kelsey, Emma, Mari, 5 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Emma is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bob Rager and Frank Rager, and sisters Bessie Rager and Wanda Rager.
