Sarah E. Jones

Sarah Elizabeth Jones, 38, of Emerson, NE, passed away July 3, 2016 at a hospital in Houston, TX. Memorial services will be Friday, July 15, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Journey Christian Church in Wayne, NE; Pastor Justin Raulston will be officiating. The visitation will be Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Journey Christian Church. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Emerson, NE. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Emerson, NE. Sarah was born October 9, 1977 in Sioux City, Iowa to Charles and Ginger (Heckens) Clift. She graduated from Emerson High School in 1996. Sarah was united in marriage to Brent Jones on September 1, 2012 at Journey Christian Church in Wayne. Together they enjoyed bowling and traveling. In 2010, Sarah was diagnosed with cancer, which she fought with her faith and dignity. Sarah enjoyed painting, crocheting, and knitting. She also enjoyed cooking, and being with friends. Sarah is survived by her husband, Brent Jones of Emerson, NE; mother, Ginger (Doug) Huggenberger of Emerson, NE; father, Charles Clift of Hornick, IA; sisters, Allison Franklin of Emerson, NE, Alicia Young of North Las Vegas, NV, grandmother, Vi Heckens (LeRoy Fuchser) of Emerson, NE; step grandparents, Jim and Bonnie Huggenberger of Emerson, NE; in laws Kim (Gerald) Haglund of Wayne, NE and Brad Jones of Wayne, NE; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bob and Jeanette Clift, Patricia Huggenberger, Ed Heckens; and her yellow lab, Tiger.
