Paul Bonneau

Paul Russell Bonneau, 68, of Bancroft, NE, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 at his home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in rural Pender, NE; Pastor Robert Schilling will be officiating. The visitation will be Monday, December 19, 2016 at Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Bancroft from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The burial will be in the Bancroft Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Bancroft, NE. Paul was born October 17, 1948 to Russell Osborne and Ruth Catherine (Epperson) Bonneau in Oakland, NE. He was baptized December 19, 1948 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bancroft and confirmed April 15, 1962 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rosalie. Paul graduated from Rosalie High School on May 18, 1966. On August 10, 1968, Paul married Carolyn Diane Witt at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pender and the couple had five children. In his spare time, Paul enjoyed latch hooking, playing cards, gardening and visiting. He worked at Bargmann Corner Service, Les’ Feed, Holmquist, Arlan Petersen Construction, and CVA. He was a member of the Bancroft Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad for over 40 years. Most of all, Paul loved spending time with his grandchildren, and great grandson, Nathan. Paul is survived by his wife, Carolyn Bonneau of Bancroft, NE; children, Darin and Marsha Bonneau of Lyons, NE and their children, Austin, Andrew, Anthony, Allysa, and Alec; Troy and Tracey Bonneau of Lincoln, NE and their children, Tristan, Makenna, Cadence, and Corbin; Jeffrey and Dawn Bonneau of Bancroft, NE and their children, Landon and Lucas; Kent and Terri of Lyons, NE and their child, Braxton Paul, and Rhonda and Mike Hermelbracht of Bancroft, NE and their children, KateLynn and Sadie, and her son, Nathan. He is also survived by his sisters, Ruthann Bargmann of Bancroft, NE, Joyce and Delwyn Daberkow of Lincoln, NE, Paula and Ron Blank of Inwood, IA, Karen Bonneau of Omaha, NE, Shirley Bonneau of Omaha, NE, and sister-in-law, Carol Bonneau of Sioux Falls, SD; brother, Leroy Bonneau of Lincoln, NE; dog, Snickers; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Eldin Witt; infant brother, Robert; infant sister, Grace; brother-in-law, Derald (Pee Wee) Bargmann, and nephew, Kyle Daberkow.
