Arlene E. Dolph, 80, of Wakefield, NE died on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Providence Medical Center in Wayne, NE.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Wakefield; Pastor Patti Meyer will be officiating.  The visitation will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.  Burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.

Arlene Elsie Greve was born on November 5, 1938 at the Wakefield Community Hospital in Dixon County, Nebraska, the daughter of Emil Carl Henry and Elsie (Fehncke) Greve.  She was baptized at the hospital.  She and her family lived south of Wakefield.  On November 6, 1955, she was united in marriage to Donald A. Dolph at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, rural Wakefield.  Together they farmed south of Wakefield and raised their five children.  Donnie passed away on April 10, 1989.  Arlene enjoyed working as a medical aide at the Wakefield Community Hospital and later at the Wakefield Republican Newspaper.  She resided currently at the Wakefield Health Care Center.

She is survived by her five children, Kaye (Gary) Sorensen of Kearney, NE; Ken (Sue) Dolph of Christiansburg, VA; Kurt (Jackie) Dolph of Charleston, WV; Kathy (Alan) Echtenkamp of Waverly, NE, and Kraig (Jane) Dolph of Wakefield, NE.  Arlene enjoyed her thirteen grandchildren BreAnne, Matthew (Bobbi) and Andrew (Sarah) Sorensen; Angie (Jarod) Spessard, Corey (Christine) and Justin (Morgan) Dolph; Sara (Chad) Robinson, Rebecca Dolph, Abby (Blake) Lawrence; Karissa (Jerald) Scott and Nicole Echtenkamp, and Joshua (McKenzie) and Jamie Dolph.  There were nine great-grandchildren, Emma, Teddy, Ben, Harrison, Loren, Jameson, Belle, Malcolm and Darren.  Other survivors include her brother Art (Mae) Greve of Wayne, NE, sisters-in-law Barbara Greve of Wayne, NE and Faye Greve of Wakefield, NE; brothers-in-law Michael Sievers of Wayne, NE and Robert Dolph of Colorado, and several nieces and nephews.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, brothers Howard, Merlin, infant twin brother Arnold Emil Greve; brothers-in-law Duane and Gerald Dolph, and sister-in-law Lynnelle Sievers.
