Barry Craig Lund

Barry Craig Lund, 81, of Bancroft, NE, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on January 4, 2020, at Legacy Garden Rehabilitation and Living Center in Pender.  Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Bancroft.  Memorial visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Bancroft.  Burial will be at a later date.  Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.  Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Bancroft. 

Barry was born on December 20, 1938 in Homer, NE, the son of Lee and Annabeth (Browning) Lund.  He graduated from Newcastle High School.  He married LouAnn Breisch of Newcastle where they lived and farmed.  To this union three sons were born, Bill, Kip and Casey.

He later married Betty Soll of Bancroft where they resided.  He worked as a driver’s license examiner and later began his trucking business.  He enjoyed tractor pulling and was a member of the Northeast Nebraska Tractor Pullers Association.

Barry is proceeded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law, Deb Lund; sister-in-law, Grayce Lund.

Barry is survived by his sons, Bill Lund of Bancroft, Kip (Mark) Lund of Tucson, AZ, and Casey (Nicole) Lund of West Point;  five grandchildren, Danielle Lund of Lincoln, NE, Lindsey (Brad) Burhoop of Bancroft, BJ (McKayla) Lund of Bancroft, Aspen and Tessa Lund of West Point, NE;  4 great grandsons, Bowdie and Tavis Burhoop and Liam and Wilson Lund all of Bancroft, special friend, Suzan Deitchman; brother, Loren Lund of Allen, NE; sister, Unell (Sam) Dickey of Oconomowoc, WI.
