Beverly J. Hemphill

Beverly Jane (English) Hemphill, 79, of Fremont, NE passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021, at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont, NE.  The visitation will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender.  The funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Dan Springer officiating.  The burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Pender.  Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.  Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender. 

Bev was born on March 28, 1942, to Leroy and Marie (Fetty) English in Beemer, NE.  She attended Pender High School.  Bev married Dennis Luschen on March 5, 1960, at the Presbyterian Church in Pender.  Together the couple had two daughters and one son.  After Dennis’s passing, Bev married Bill Hemphill on June 12, 1982, in Bellevue, NE.   

Bev drove the school bus for several years before changing her career path to becoming a caregiver especially for her husband Bill.   She spent most of her time helping other people with their transportation needs and making sure they always had someone to rely on.  Bev was known for her cookies, she always made sure everyone had a cookie or two, including her doctors, attorney, mechanics, and anyone else who helped her.  Bev was also enjoyed croqueting and embroidery, in fact, Bev was also known for giving croquet blankets to people who had helped her.  She will be remembered for her feisty and caring personality. 

Bev is survived by her 3 daughters; 1 sister; 1 brother; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Bev is preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; 1 brother; and 1 son.
