Brenda A. Christ

Brenda A. Christ, 60, of Wakefield, NE died on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the Wakefield Care Center.  Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Wakefield; Pastor Jill Craig will be officiating.  The visitation will be held on Saturday beginning at 9:30 a.m. and will run until the time of the service at the church.  Burial will be at a later date at the Lyons Cemetery in Lyons, NE.  Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.

Brenda Ann Christ was born July 15, 1958 to Albert & Ruth (Beeks) Christ. Brenda graduated from Rosalie High School.  Following high school, Brenda worked for Richard Dye outside of Rosalie, later working for MG Waldbaum’s in Wakefield and Welsh’s Pizzeria in Pender.  Brenda loved her cats and liked to read books.

Brenda is survived by her brother, Dennis (Pam) Christ of South Saint Paul, MN; sisters, Sue Rief and special friend Glenn Becker of Fremont, NE, Beth Stewart of Oakland, NE, Laurie Christ of West Point, NE, Teresa Christ of South Saint Paul, MN, Phyllis (Darryn) Harder of Wakefield, NE; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. 

Brenda is preceded in death by her Mom, Ruth Christ; sister Kitty; a nephew and two nieces.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Shane Rief, Hope Rief, Jessica Martin, Matt Rief, Justin Cole, Sandra Martinez, Ross Cole, Jamie Cole, Paige Rodney, Tyler Christ, Amish Christ, Christain Nelson, Sheree Harder & Brandie Stewart.
