Charlotte K. Bohlin

Charlotte K. Bohlin, 81, of Pender, NE died on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at a hospital in Omaha, NE.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Pender.  The visitation will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Rosehill Cemetery in Pender.  Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh - Smith Funeral Home in Pender.

Charlotte was born on October 11, 1942 in Crofton, NE, the daughter of John “Jack” F. and Mathilda (Maly) Sudbeck.  She attended St. Rose Catholic School until entering high school.  Following her graduation from Crofton High School, she attended Nursing School at Mount Marty College in Yankton, SD.  She met Dr. Charles Bohlin in Omaha while working as a Registered Nurse.  The couple were united in marriage on January 15, 1966 at St. Cecilia Cathedral in Omaha.  To this union three children were born, Anthony, Kristine, and Andrew.  Later, they moved to Pender, NE, where Charles worked as a dentist.  She was an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, loved playing golf, gardening, traveling, and visiting with her many friends, including her Crofton classmates, nursing classmates, the Wayne golfers, and the Red Hatters.  Most of all she enjoyed her grandchildren and family.

Charlotte is survived by her husband, Charles Bohlin of Pender, NE; sons, Tony Bohlin of Colorado Springs, CO, Andy (Kristen) Bohlin of Elmhurst, IL; daughter, Kristie (Doran) Stienike of Omaha, NE; seven grandchildren, Anna Stienike, Elizabeth Stienike, Jonathan Stienike, Jacob Bohlin, Katie Bohlin, Sarah Bohlin, Jackson Bohlin; brother, Robert Sudbeck of Minneapolis, MN; sister-in-law, Linda Smith of Plantine, IL; and many nieces, nephews, cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Irvin Sudbeck, Duane Sudbeck, Merlin “Bud” Sudbeck, Harold Sudbeck, Ralph Sudbeck, Don Sudbeck; and a brother-in-law, James Bohlin.
