Connie M. Mitchell

Connie Marie (Kelly) Mitchell, 82, of Beemer, Nebraska passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019 at Colonial Haven Nursing Home in Beemer, NE. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Walthill, NE, Pastor Brion Tolzman will be officiating. The visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery of Walthill. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home in Pender.

Connie was born on October 17, 1936 to Alvin and Helen (Olson) Kelly. She met and married Dale Arthur Mitchell on August 16, 1953 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Walthill. To this union two children were born: Cindy and Brian. They worked for Connie’s parents Alvin and Helen for many years until Connie and Dale bought the Kelly Family Farm.

Connie enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the Casino. She enjoyed watching old Western movies and listening to Country Music. She always looked forward to the Kelly-Olson Reunion’s to get to see her cousins and the rest of her Family. She always enjoyed the holidays to get to see her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Connie is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Brian) Buchholz of Bancroft, NE, and son Brian (Kerrie) Mitchell of Dakota Dunes, SD; a sister, Alice Schmedding of Winnebago, NE; grandchildren, Angie (Eric) Struck, Heather (Matt) Warne, Travis (Jody) Buchholz, Tim (Nargis) Buchholz, Leslie (Matt) Guzinski, Jayden Mitchell, Marissa Mitchell and Ella Mitchell. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Helen; husband, Dale; granddaughter, Amy Buchholz; great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Warne; siblings, Fritz Kelly, Charlie Kelly, George Kelly, Robert Kelly, Betty Mayberry, and her twin Donnie Kelly.
