David J. Sackville

David “Dixie” J. Sackville, 57, of Winside, NE died on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Premier  Estates of Pierce in Pierce, Nebraska.  Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Pierce, NE, Pastor Cara Jensen will be officiating.  The visitation will begin on Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m.  Burial will be at a later date.  Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home of Pender is in charge of the arrangements.   David was born on September 15, 1960 in Aledo, Illinois, the son of Robert “Rocky” and Joyce (Fourdyce) Sackville.  He attended school at Bassett, NE.  On September 20, 1980, he was united in marriage to Lori Sackville.  To this union three children, Jesse, Matt and Dixie were born.  The couple later divorced.  He was the owner operator of Sackville Trucking.  He also worked for Vics Jack and Engine of Norfolk and Walt Fissit with Andrews Van Lines.   He is survived by his sons, Jesse (Jill) Sackville and Matt (Cami) Sackville; daughter, Dixie (Jared) Altwine; his mother Joyce Sackville all of Pierce, NE.  David is also survived by his brother, Joe (Connie) Sackville of Norfolk, NE; sister Cindy (Steve) Engelhart of Walthill, NE; best friend Kenny Hanson of Weeping Water, NE; grandchildren, Parker, Jamie, Jordyn, Bentley, Britney, Icis, Mia and Jayan; many nieces, nephews and cousins.   David was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father.
