Donald Luedert

Donald Luedert, 84, of Bancroft, NE, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Heritage of Emerson Nursing Home. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Bancroft Cemetery in Bancroft; Pastor Brion Tolzman will be officiating. A visitation will be Tuesday, October 1, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender, NE. Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Bancroft. Donald was born May 2, 1935 to John and Emma (Witt) Luedert in Bancroft, NE. He served in the U.S. Army, upon his return, Donald farmed and raised black Angus cattle. He enjoyed flying and finding four leaf clovers. Donald is survived by his son, Jonathan “Waldo” (Stephanie) Luedert of Pender, NE, Dan Luedert of Bancroft, NE; daughter, Cathy (David) Hautajarvi of Granite Falls, WA; sister, Mary Ann Johnson of Blair, NE, brother, Harold (Mary June) Luedert of Fremont, NE; mother of his children, Jo Luedert; special friend, Darlene Preister; and four grandchildren, Drake, Emily, Allie, and Joshua Luedert. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Renetta Peterson; and brother, John Luedert.
