Donna Vondracek

Donna Jean (Engelbrecht) Vondracek, 88, of North Sioux City, SD, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017 at her home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Emerson, NE. The visitation will be Monday, August 7, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Emerson with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. The burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Emerson. Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh- Smith Funeral Home in Emerson. Donna was born June 17, 1929 in Snyder, NE to Herbert and Helen (Roesch) Engelbrecht. She graduated from Snyder High School. Donna married Don Powley. After Don’s passing she married Myron Vondracek. Donna enjoyed embroidering, gambling at casinos, and was an avid card player. She is survived by her son, Larry Powley; daughters, Jeanette (Rick) Meinke, Sharon (Bob) Cooper, Helen (Kevin) Hamilton, Wanda (Keith) Bowder; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Donna was preceded in death by her parents; son, Melvin Powley; granddaughter, McKenzie Hamilton; and sister, Lois Carlson.
