Elizabeth Figueroa

Elizabeth Figueroa, 28, of Emerson, NE, passed away as a result of an automobile accident on Sunday, August 15, 2021.  Visitation will be Tuesday, August 17, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Emerson with a prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Father Gerald Leise as the Celebrant.  Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.  Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Emerson. 

Elizabeth was born on July 29, 1993, to Carlos Figueroa and Rebeca Juarez in King City, CA.  She attended and graduated from Emerson High School in 2011.  Shortly after graduation, Elizabeth moved to Minnesota for a short time before returning to Emerson.  She was currently working in Wakefield at Michael Foods. Elizabeth was known for her stubborn and feisty personality, she liked to have it her way or no way.  She was a hard worker and dedicated mother and friend.  She was always willing to help if someone was in need.  Elizabeth loved spending time with her son, family, especially her nieces and nephews. 

Elizabeth was survived by her son, Oliver Figueroa; fiancé, Jon Langfitt of Primghar, IA; mother, Rebeca Juarez of Emerson; sisters, Jeanine Figueroa of Emerson, NE, Carla Figueroa (Kevin Herrera) of Emerson; brothers, Jesus (Michelle) Nunez of Wakefield, Juan Felipe (Gladys) Nunez of Sioux City, IA; many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. 

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her father, Carlos Figueroa; and her grandparents.
