Gary Cadwallader

Gary Thomas Cadwallader, 68, of Hubbard, Nebraska died at his home on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hubbard, NE; with Father Gerald Leise officiating. The visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Hubbard, NE. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Emerson. Gary was born on July 7, 1951 in Sioux City, IA to Thomas and Audrey (Blair) Cadwallader. After high school he started working with his father and brother in construction. Gary married Dixie Davis on January 16, 1971 in Hubbard, NE. To this union they had one son, Shane. The couple lived in Niobrara and Arizona for two years and Concord for 25 years where he worked construction. They built several hog confinement buildings as well as other construction projects. Gary loved spending time with his grandchildren and traveling with them. Gary is survived by his sister, Ruth (Lyle) Greenough of Waterbury, NE; grandsons, Zachary Cadwallader and Chase Cadwallader; granddaughter, Haley Southwell; and special niece, Debb Quinn of Hubbard, NE. Gray is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dixie; son, Shane; and brother, Dale.
