Georgia J. Falatko

Georgia J. Falatko, 85, of Pender, NE, formerly of Bancroft, NE, died on Monday, April 05, 2021 at Legacy Garden Rehabilitation and Living Center in Pender, NE.  A memorial service and visitation will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home in Bancroft, NE.  Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.

Georgia was born on October 14, 1935 in Pekin, IL, the daughter of George and Ruby (Gent) Gibson.  She graduated from Manual High School in Peoria, IL.  On July 24, 1954, Georgia was united in marriage to John Falatko in Peoria, IL.  To this union four children were born. 

For several years while living in Illinois, Georgia worked as a school bus driver.  In August of 2003, Georgia and John moved to Bancroft, NE to be closer to their daughter.  Georgia enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, and her cats and dogs.  She was also an accomplished writer of poetry. 

Georgia is survived by sons; George (Debbie) Falatko of Monument, CO, John Falatko, II of Creve Coeur, IL, Andrew Falatko of Washington, IL, daughter; LuRee (Michael) Surrells of Bancroft, NE; twelve grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and a great-great grandson.  She is also survived by her brother Bud Gibson.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ruby; husband, John; a brother and two sisters.
