Jean Ott

Jean Merle (Frederickson) Ott,  82, was called home on January 25, 2019 at Tuttle Care Center in Tuttle, OK. Memorial services will be Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Church of Pender in Pender; Pastor Daniel Springer will be officiating. The burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender. Jean was born to Emery and Leona Frederickson of Pender, NE on April 9, 1935. She graduated from Pender High School in 1951. She married Stanley Steele and had 5 children while they were married. Jean moved to South Sioux City, NE and worked at the Marina Inn until she married Larry Ott.  The couple moved to Atchison, KS where Jean worked as a manager over the Benedictine Abby Monks for several years.  Larry and Jean then moved to Ogallala, NE.   After Larry passed away Jean moved in with her sister, Judy Oakley in Lincoln, NE for a few years before moving to Tuttle, OK. Jean loved embroidery, cross word puzzles and baking. Jean is survey by her children, Steve (Teresa) Steele of Tuttle, OK, Sandy (Ernie) Manuel of Greeley, CO, Jeff (Peggy) Steele of Kearney, NE, Charlie (Juanita) Steele of South Sioux City, NE, Lori (Steve) Dugger of Atchison, KS; 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; step children, Robert Ott, Paul Ott, Esther Ott Garcia; sisters, Judy Oakley of Lincoln, NE, Jane Baier of Bridgeport, NE, and Patty Evans of Beatrice, NE. Jean is preceded in death by husband, Larry Ott; daughter, Jennifer Steele; father, Emery Frederickson; mother, Leona Frederickson; brothers, Don Frederickson and Jack Frederickson.
