Jesse Nunez

Jesse Nunez, 26, of West Point, NE passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, due to an automobile accident in rural West Point, NE.  The visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 9, 2022, at the Wakefield Presbyterian Church in Wakefield, with a prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m.  The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at the Wakefield Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Charity Potter officiating. Burial will be at a later date.  Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.  Arrangements are under the direction of Bressler-Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield, NE.  

Jesse was born on July 7, 1996, in Sioux City, IA, to Emperatriz and Jesus Nunez.  He attended and graduated from Wakefield High School in 2015.  He attended Wayne State College in Wayne before moving to West Point.  He was currently a cook at Franciscan Healthcare.  Jesse enjoyed eating Mexican food with his family and attending parties with his girlfriend and her family.  In his spare time, Jesse liked playing video games and joking around with people.  He truly loved spending time with his 3-month-old son, Demitrio Nico. 

Jesse is survived by his mother, Emperatriz Nunez (Gumaro Jimenez) of Wakefield; father, Jesus Nunez of Mexico; girlfriend, Beth Lerner of West Point; son, Demitrio Nico Nunez; stepson, Gabe; sisters, Kassandra Nunez, Luna Marine Ochoa; brothers, Alejandro Nunez, Christopher Ochoa, Daniel Jimenez; grandmothers, Alejandra Pacheco and Julia Villa.

Jesse is preceded by his grandfathers.
