Jon Michael Fassler

Jon Michael Fassler, 28, of Emerson, NE died on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 in Emerson, NE.  A memorial visitation will be Sunday, April 11, 2021 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church.  A memorial service will be Monday, April 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Emerson, NE; Pastor Charlotte Eversoll will be officiating.    Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery of Emerson.  Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.  Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Emerson. 

Jon was born in Pender, NE the son of James Fassler and Shellee Nordhus on July 29, 1992.  He attended Emerson Hubbard High School and graduated in 2011.  Following graduation, he attended Southeast Community College and later attended Western Iowa Tech for welding.  For the past several years, he worked for Rohde Farms, various welding jobs, and recently for Starzl Farms in Emerson, NE.  Jon had a heart of gold and loved being with friends and playing with his nephews. He loved music and learning new things such as long boarding and frisbee golf.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Brayden M. Paulsen of Bancroft, NE; mother, Shellee K. (Patrick) Huggenberger of Emerson, NE; father, James K. Fassler of Wayne, NE; sisters, Jessina K. (Nick) Fuller of Sioux City, IA, Sarah (Tibor) Moldavon of Lincoln, NE, Amber (Jason) Bougger of Omaha, NE; brother, Samuel Huggenberger of Denton, TX; Maternal grandmother, Margaret Nordhus of Clark, SD; paternal grandmother, Marlene Fassler of Watertown, SD; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jon was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Donald Nordhus and paternal grandfather, Donald Fassler.
