LaDonna M. Sebade

LaDonna Mae (Monnich) Sebade, 88, of Emerson, NE passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. The funeral will be held on Monday, January 25, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Emerson, NE; with Pastor Charlotte Eversoll officiating.  Visitation will be held Monday, January 25, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church.  Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Emerson, NE.  Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.  Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Emerson, NE. 

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all state guidelines will be in effect and we ask for everyone in attendance to wear a mask.

LaDonna, the daughter of Clarence and Effie Monnich was born September 16, 1932 in Pender, NE and graduated from Emerson High in 1949.  She married her high school sweetheart, Densil Sebade on July 25, 1950 in Emerson.  They were blessed with four daughters.  

They started their home living near Emerson and moved into town in March 1957.  LaDonna had various vocations, but those most dear to her were doing alterations and dressmaking, owning and managing LaDonna’s, a variety store in Emerson from 1980-1987 and working as an activities Director at Heritage of Emerson.  She enjoyed spending her weekends camping, playing cards and being with family.  

She is survived by her husband, Densil of 70 years; daughters, Denise Lamp of Emerson, Linnea (Duane) Kubik of Thurston, Dinah (Craig) Crees of Hinton, IA and LaRita (Randy) Stewart of Emerson; twelve grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Corliss (Ron) Krusemark of Wayne, NE.  

LaDonna was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Effie Monnich; grandson, Neal Kubik; and son-in-law, Ken Lamp.
