Lawrence Francis Welsh, 79, of Winnebago, NE, passed away on the evening of January 20, 2019 at the Pender Community Hospital. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Emerson, NE. Larry was born on February 9th, 1939 to Edward and Edna (Beargeon) Welsh in the family home at the Welsh farm, where he lived and worked for nearly his entire life. He was united in marriage to Karen Mackling on October 9, 1979. He is survived by his wife, Karen Welsh of Winnebago, NE; sons, Edward Welsh of Interior, SD and Thomas (Dawn) Welsh of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Patrick Welsh of Gretna, NE; and sisters, Mary Ann Jarosz of Omaha, NE and Judy (Jim) Drahota of Waterloo, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Edna; brother, Michael; and sister, Marjorie.
