LeAnn I. Miner

LeAnn Miner, 59, of Wakefield, NE, died suddenly on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Providence Medical Center in Wayne, NE.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 3, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Wakefield, NE; Pastor Patti Meyer will be officiating.  The visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2020 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Wakefield, NE.  Burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery in Wakefield, NE.  Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.  Bressler – Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home of Wakefield is in charge of the arrangements.

LeAnn was born on July 31, 1960 in Wakefield, NE, the daughter of Dean and Phyllis (Johnson) Salmon.  She graduated from Wakefield High School in 1978.  On July 28, 1979, she married Vern Miner at Ponca, NE.  To this union three children were born; Shad, Shanda and Brady.  LeAnn worked for several years as a waitress and bartender at several places, including Betty’s Café and the Wakefield Hotel.  For twenty-five years, LeAnn, worked at Fredrickson Oil as a bookkeeper.  She later was part owner of Logan Valley Golf Course in Wakefield, NE, where she enjoyed visiting and hosting dinner parties.  For the past few years she worked in Wayne, NE at Ameritas.  She was a fan of Husker Basketball, Football and especially volleyball.  Most of all she enjoyed her children and grandchildren.

LeAnn is survived by her daughter Shanda (John) Geiser and children Camden and Asher of Wakefeild, NE; son, Brady Miner of Wakefield, NE; daughter-in-law, Tara Miner and son Weston of Wakefield, NE; brother, Bennett (Kathleen) Salmon of Wakefield, NE; nieces, Erin (Nate) Smith of Fremont, NE, Andrea (Joe) Wortman of Randolph, NE and Laura (Heather) Salmon of Hay Springs, NE.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vern; son, Shad Miner; Parents, Dean and Phyllis Salmon; father-in-lawn and mother-in-law, Bob and Betty Miner.
