Linda R. Burmester

Linda R. Burmester, 71, of Pender, NE passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the Pender Community Hospital. A memorial service will be Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Pender; Pastor Daniel Springer will be officiating. The memorial visitation will be Friday, May 10, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender. The inurnment will be at a later date at Rosehill Cemetery in Pender. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender.

Linda was born November 11, 1947 in Pender to Edward and Viola (Heineman) Schmeckpeper. She attended Pender High School. Linda married Warren Burmester on September 4, 1966 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Pender and the couple had four children. She was a member of the Women’s Firemen’s Auxiliary and a Girl Scout Leader. She loved to watch Days of our Lives, The Young and the Restless, and Survivor.

She is survived by her husband, Warren Burmester of Pender, NE; daughters, Shari (Corbet) Dorsey of Bancroft, NE, Debbra (Russ) Parrott of Lincoln, NE; daughter-in-law, Renee Burmester of Wakefield, NE; sister, Gail (Bill) Harrison of Pender, NE, Bev Fritz of Sioux City, IA; twin sister, Lorna Wingett of Thurston, NE; sister-in-law, Carolyn Schmeckpeper of Pender, NE; brother, Gordon Schmeckpeper of Sioux City, IA four grandchildren, Kyle and Brandon Dorsey, and Carley and Helen Parrott; and many nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Richard Warren and Douglas Warren; brothers, Les and Stan; and sister, Jan.
