Lonnie was born on December 28, 1961, in Plainview, NE, the son of Gene and Sarah (Wellman) Weinrich.  After graduating in 1980 from Plainview High School, he attended Northeast Technical College in Norfolk.  Lonnie earned his associate degree in automotive technology. He worked as a motorcycle mechanic for a year, before moving to Wayne, NE, where he worked at Pflueger’s Feed Yard. He then moved to Pierce and worked for Coca-Cola, where he worked in deliveries and sales and delivered mailed in the evenings for US Postal. Lonnie then returned to Pflueger’s Feed Yard in 2001, working there for several years before moving to Nichols Feed Yard, and most recently, the Dixon Feed Yard.

He enjoyed spending time with his dogs, raising livestock, and spoiling his grandchildren. You could always find Lonnie cheering on his children when they were younger at any school event or cattle show. He most recently was cheering on his oldest grandchild Cameron at Hockey and Football. He volunteered for many years at the Wayne County Fair, helping run the cattle show. Most of all he loved all three of his grandchildren.

Lonnie is survived by his son, Cody Hutchison of College Station, TX, and his daughter Evelyn Hutchison; daughter, Stephanie (Josh) Hays of Wayne, NE, and their sons, Cameron and Otto Hays; daughter, Katie Weinrich of Clearwater, NE and her fiancé Cody Kester; sisters, Bonnie (Dennis) Kumm of Osmond, NE, Colleen (Bill) Fanta of Creighton, NE, Jolene (Chris) Lengfelder of Missouri Valley, IA; brother, Ronnie (Deb) Weinrich of Faulkton, SD; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Sarah Weinrich, his grandparents and close friends Roger Jensen and Terry Pflueger.
