Owen Luschen

Owen Louis Luschen, 61, of Cedar Bluffs, NE passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018 surrounded by his family at his home.  Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Emerson, NE; with Pastor Gary Harris officiating.  Memorial visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.  Burial with military honors will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Pender, NE.  Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.  Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Emerson. 

Owen was born on July 9, 1957 in Wakefield, Nebraska to Norman and Maureen (Peters) Luschen.  He attended and graduated from Allen High School in 1975.  He served in the United States Army.  Owen traveled all over the United States in his semi working for various shipping companies.  Due to his declining health Owen was forced to quit driving his beloved semi and moved to Cedar Bluffs.  He was an avid coon hunter and loved his dogs dearly. 

Owen is survived by his mother, Maureen (Myron) Osbahr of Wakefield, NE; children, Jeremy Luschen of Cedar Bluffs, NE, Angela (Jeremy) Honeywell of Cedar Bluffs, NE, Owen Luschen-Crain, Jr. of Glasgow, KY; sisters, Grace Ann (Mark) Buckley of Rush, CO, June (Doug) Koester of Laurel, NE; brother, Chad (Crystal) Luschen of Vermillion, SD; 7 grandchildren.

Owen is preceded in death by his father, Norman Luschen; nephew, Matthew Luschen.
