Patricia Ann Willis Bejot, of Wakefield, Nebraska passed away peacefully at her home in Wakefield on Wednesday, October 25, 2017.   Funeral services for Patti will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Northern Heights Baptist Church located at 708 Georgia Ave. in Norfolk, NE.  The visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Bressler – Munderloh- Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield.  Burial will be held on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the Ainsworth Cemetery in Ainsworth, NE.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Norfolk Rescue Mission and the Northern Heights Student Ministry (Merge).  Bressler – Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home of Wakefield is in charge of the arrangements.Patti was born on November 27, 1952 in Hays, KS, the daughter of Denver and Anna (Boyle) Willis. She graduated from Meade High School in Meade, KS. She attended St. Mary’s of the Plains in Dodge City, KS and Ft. Hays State University, where she earned her Master’s Degree in Library Science and another Masters in Educational Administration with a specialty in Superintendence. Patti taught school a total of 33 years, with 30 of those years at USD 443 Dodge City. During this tenure she taught journalism, English, Yearbook and four years as Assistant Principal at DCHS and three years as head of the Kansas Heritage Center. Patti enjoyed photography and Traveling. She also loved hosting foreign exchange students. On July 2, 2005, she was united in marriage to Mark Bejot at Dodge City, KS. They later moved to Wakefield, NE where she was a substitute teacher. She had a love for children that showed in her teaching. Patti was also involved with the Moms to Moms group at her church in Norfolk, and the Salem Lutheran Church Ladies Bible Study in Wakefield.She is survived by her husband Mark of Wakefield, NE; daughters, Lorinda Mollenkamp (Joe) of Oklahoma City, OK and Megan Bejot of Kearney, NE. She is also survived by a foster daughter and her children Cristina Sotelo and son Diego and daughter Marella; a sister, Carol Curtis and brother Steve Willis (Roma) all of Weatherford, OK; father-in- law and mother-in-law, Dennis and Janet Bejot of Seward, NE, and a brother-in-law David Bejot (Cindy Commack) of Temperance, MI; her nieces and nephews and two great nieces and great nephew.Patti was preceded in death by her parents, Denver and Anna Willis.
