Peggy J. Kubik

Peggy J. Kubik, 80, of Wakefield, NE, died on Friday, October 14, 2022, at the Wakefield Health Care Center in Wakefield.  A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 24, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Wakefield; Pastor Ernesto Medina will be officiating.  Private family burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Emerson, NE.  Bressler – Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home of Wakefield is in charge of the arrangements.

Peggy was born on September 17, 1942, in Wakefield, NE, the oldest child of Erwin and Emma (Heckens) Brown.  Following her graduation from Wakefield High School in 1960, Peggy worked at M.G. Waldbaum’s until her retirement.  She was the mother of Mark and Bryon.  Peggy loved to visit with her family and watch sports, work on Crossword Puzzles, and collect bird figurines.  In 2019, she moved into assisted living at the Wakefield Health Care Center.

She is survived by her sons, Mark (Tricia) Kubik of Aurora, NE, Bryon Kubik of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Kaylee (Michael) Reinsch and their daughter, Olivia, of Aurora, NE, Alex Kubik (Caitlyn Skuodas) of Omaha, NE, and Brett Kubik of Sloam Springs, AR; brothers, Gene Brown of Wakefield, NE, Lyle Brown (Judy Libengood) of Wakefield, NE; and a sister, Phyllis Dufek of Omaha, NE; and nieces and nephews, Anthony (Danielle) Brown of Savannah, GA, Cory (Bree) Brown of Wakefield, NE, and Megan (Ben) Nissen of Arlington, NE.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Kenneth Kubik; infant daughter, Connie Kubik; and a brother-in-law, Rudy Dufek.
