Phyllis I Plantenberg

Phyllis Irene Plantenberg, age 83, of Huntington Woods (formerly of Warren), passed away on January 26, 2023. A funeral service for Phyllis will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Emerson, NE. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Emerson. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Beloved wife of the late Norman. Loving mother of Danica (Clint) Alsobrook, Demyn (Susan Englert) Plantenberg, and Kirstie (Michele) Plantenberg. Proud grandmother of Amber (John), Rory, Asher (Kacee), Peri, Summer, and Lias. Also survived by several great-grandchildren. Phyllis was a loved mother, grandmother, and friend. She was quick to laugh and quick of mind. Phyllis was an exceptionally gifted artist who mastered the art of stained glass. She enjoyed painting, making jewelry, and crafting. She was an avid traveler who managed to visit all fifty states hiking and camping along her way. Phyllis also enjoyed playing board games and card games with friends and family. She was the Tigers and Red Wing's number-one fan and never missed one of their games on TV. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
