Richard Norman Karash

Richard Karash, 73, of Pender, NE passed on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at his home in Pender. Private family services will be held at a later date. In leiu of flowers, the family requests to plant a tree in Richard’s memory. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh- Smith Funeral Home in Pender. Richard was born November 26, 1943 in Cambridge, NE to Anthony and E. Cleone (Kinder) Karash. He graduated from St. Cecelia’s High School in Hastings. He was the owner of ReNuIt Upholstery for over 20 years. Richard married Anita LaFerla on April 24, 1968 and the couple had four children. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, reading and his faith. Richard loved spending time with his family. Richard was survived by his son, Richard Karash, II of Sioux Falls, SD; daughters, Roxanne (David) Raasch and their children, Alexa, Paige, and Elyse of Bancroft, NE, Melissa (Ryan) Albertsen and their children, Bradley, Lane and Brynn of Buckingham, IA, Abigail (Scott) Hansen and their children, Caleb, Madison and Caden of Bancroft, NE; and brothers, Paul Karash of Bee, NE, Larry Karash of Morrison, IL, and James Karash of Hastings, NE. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Cleone Karash, wife, Anita Karash,  and sisters, T. Colleen Conover, Beverly Karash, and Karen Hernandez.
