Roberta Rose Tyrrell

Roberta R. Tyrrell, 92, of Pender, NE died on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Legacy Garden Rehabilitation and Living Center in Pender, NE.  A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home in Pender, NE.

Roberta was born on August 14, 1929, at Onawa, IA, one of twelve children born to Orus Orson (Oat) and Stella (Wyland) Adams.  Following school, she was united in marriage to Mervin Tyrrell on June 1, 1950.  In 1957, they moved to Titusville, Florida.  In 1970, they returned to Pleasantville, IA, and in 1999 to Pender, NE.  She was a Certified Nurse’s Assistant, working in hospitals and nursing homes.  Roberta enjoyed painting, sewing, and gardening.

She is survived by her son, Verne (Jennifer) Tyrrell of Pender, NE; daughter-in-law, Xiaoya Tang of Seattle, Wash.; sisters Jean Conyers of Omaha and Gloria (Dee) Isakson of California; one brother Jack Adams of Omaha; four grandchildren, Mike of Omaha, Nicole of Pender, Skye and Rachel of Seattle; six great-grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mervin; son, Leslie.
