Roger "Scott" Ross

Roger Scott Ross, 64, of Pender, NE passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at the Pender Community Hospital in Pender, NE. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Pender, NE. A memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the church with a meal to follow. Private family inurnment will be in St. Mark's Lutheran Church Cemetery in rural Pender, NE. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender, NE.

Scott was born on March 4, 1960, to Roger and Faye (Christiansen) Ross in Sioux City, IA. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Pender. He attended and graduated from Pender High School in 1978. He continued his education at Norfolk Tech. Scott worked at Blue Ox as a material handler.

Scott was a simple guy who enjoyed camping, fishing, and backyard campfires. He loved spending time with friends, family, and teasing kids. In his spare time, he liked going out to eat and watching college sports and the NFL. Scott was proud of his community, he attended several benefits and supported Pender businesses and families.

Scott is survived by his mother, Faye Ross of Pender, NE; sister, Shawn (Alan) Doht of Pender, NE; brother, Colin Ross of South Sioux City, NE; nephews, Alex (Callie) Doht of Dallas, TX, and Eric (Mikayla) Doht of Pender, NE; great nieces and nephews, Wells Alan Doht, Ellie Doht and John Alan Doht.

Scott is preceded in death by his father, Roger Ross.
