Susan L. Volchko

Susan Volchko, 71, of Emerson, NE died on Monday, August 10, 2020 at her home in Emerson surrounded by her family. Memorial services will be held August 22nd at Crystal Cove Park in South Sioux City. Munderloh - Smith Funeral Home of Emerson is assisting the family with the arrangements. Susan was born on February 18, 1949 in Omaha, NE, the daughter of Donald and Laura (Hoover) Swanson. She attended school in Emerson, Ne, graduating with the class of 1967. Following graduation, Susan earned her Associate’s Degree and worked as a Paralegal. She enjoyed reading, watching Kansas City Chiefs and Husker football, painting, watching Netflix, and spending time with her daughter and granddaughter. Susan is survived by her daughter, Courtney Holland and her fiancé, Tim Cornish; granddaughter, Ariana Holland all of Emerson, NE; sister, Sandi (Harold) Sands of Thurston, NE; and brother Don (Tina) Swanson of Emerson, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Laura, and a sister, Nancy Boyd.
