Timothy S. Beacom, 76, of Waterbury, NE, passed away September 9, 2019 at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center in Sioux City, IA surrounded by his family. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Jackson, NE; Father Andrew Sohm will be celebrating Mass. The visitation will be Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Jackson, NE at 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a wake service at 7:00 p.m. The burial will be in the South Creek Cemetery in rural Ponca, NE. Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Emerson, NE.

Timothy, the son of J. Ambrose and Nellie (Broderick) Beacom, was born July 12, 1943 at the home place in Waterbury. He attended the Way School District, Pigeon Creek 19 in Dakota County and graduated from Waterbury High School in Waterbury. He married Mary “Mert” Frances Coan on March 16, 1963 in Elk Point, SD. They spent most of their married life in Waterbury. He was a longtime member of Waterbury Immaculate Catholic Church until its closing.

Survivors include son, Marty (Rose) Beacom of Ponca, NE; three daughters, Angie (Randy) Ickler of Wahoo, NE, Jodi (Tim) Lamprecht of Ponca, NE, Christi (Brian) Rush of Jackson, NE; brothers, Jim, Neal, Pat, and Terry Beacom; sisters, Mary Jane Mello, Alana Kuhn, Arlene Whipple, Judy Rager, Jeanne Bourgeois, and Corrine Hogan; nine grandchildren, Kelsey (special friend, Zach Brewer) and Kayla Beacom, Jordan, Ryan and Aaron Ickler, Andrew and Dalton Lamprecht, Brandon (Heather) Rush and Logan Rush; four great-grandchildren, Greyson and Graham Brewer, and Braxton and Ashlynn Rush.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J. Ambrose and Nellie Beacom; wife, Mary “Mert” Beacom; brother, Darrell Beacom; sisters, Carol Ann, Peggy, and Dorothy Beacom; infant son, John A. Beacom; father-in-law, Francis Coan; mother-in-law, Beverly Coan; brothers-in-law, Ed Mello, Charles Whipple, Frank Rager, William Bourgeois, Ray Gatzemeyer, Sr; sisters-in-law, Maggie Beacom, JoAnn (Martin) Beacom, and Carol Scott; nephews, Michael Rager, Doug Beacom, and Ray Gatzemeyer, Jr.; niece, Sadie Beacom; great-nephews, Jeff Beacom and Nathan Irwin, and all his brothers and sisters in Christ who passed before him.
