William L Heck

William (Bill) Heck, 79, of Gresham, WI, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018 in Wisconsin. Memorial services will be Friday, August 3, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Homer; Vicar Dave Hawkins will be officiating. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. The burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City, IA. Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender, NE. Bill was born February 1, 1939 on the family farm west of Homer, NE to Ross and Gladys (Forney) Heck. He was the 12th of 12 children.   He attended Homer grade school. William loved spending time with his family, especially his 54 nieces and nephews. He is survived by sisters, Mary Ann Robertson of Pender, NE and Bonnie Rossiter of South Sioux City, NE; sisters-in-law, Carmen Heck of Bella Vista, AK, and Delores Heck of Rapid City, SD; significant other, Eva (Bear) Bowman; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Alvin, Joe, Bob, Bud, Jack, George; three sisters, Genevive Johnsen, Esther O’Neill, Shirley Longwell; three sisters-in-law, Mabel Heck Vassar, Lorraine Heck, Ila Heck Esch; five brothers-in-laws, Martin Johnsen, Tom O’Neill, Merle Longwell, Bob Robertson, Jim Rossiter; two nieces, and five nephews.
