Jolene B. Doht

Jolene B. Doht, 87, of Bancroft, NE, died on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at the Wakefield Health Care Center in Wakefield, NE.  A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Munderloh - Smith Funeral Home in Bancroft, NE.  The memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bancroft; Pastor Nathan Henschen will be officiating.  Burial will be in the Bancroft Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.  Munderloh - Smith Funeral Home in Bancroft is in charge of the services.

Jolene was born near Beemer, NE, the daughter of Elmer and Valasta (Holub) Kolell.  Following her graduation from Bancroft High School, Jolene was united in marriage to Marvin G. Doht on April 10, 1955.  To this union three children were born; Doug, Tami, and Jeff.  Besides helping Marvin around the farm, Jolene spent over twenty years working at Ru-De’s convenience store in Bancroft.  In 2007, Jolene and Marvin moved off the farm into Bancroft.  Marvin died in 2017.  Jolene enjoyed knitting, and crocheting.  She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and word searches.  Most of all she enjoyed the time she spent with her family.

Jolene is survived by her sons, Doug (Rita) Doht of Omaha, NE, and Jeff Doht of Lincoln, NE; daughter, Tami (Clay) Nelson of Pender, NE; grandchildren, Nick (Courtney) Doht, Erin (Tony) Schmitz, Kelsey (Hayden) DeLano, Cassie (Brandon) Bonar, Brady (Carly) Nelson, Kate (Matt) Penner, and Makenna Doht; great-grandchildren, Jameson, Adler, Vivienne, Finn, Archer, Sawyer, Harlow, Shiloh, Knox, Jett, Cooper, Briggs, Banks, and Lucille.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin; two brothers, Gary Kolell and Wesley Kolell; two sisters, Jackie Leimer, and Shirley Repschlager; and a great-grandson, Wesley Nelson.
